Description

The Shop Foreman, CIM oversees the daily operations of the manufacturing production floor, providing first-line supervision.

Essential Functions

• Direct shop activities, including daily resource allocation of manpower.
• Ensure work complies with established procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor and review work orders to meet deadlines and address issues promptly.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures throughout the shop.
• Maintain equipment in clean and safe working condition.
• Train new employees on departmental procedures, paperwork, notification policies, and equipment use.
• Implement strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience with solid surface materials, applications (countertops, enclosures, wall panels), or experience in the building trades.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a solid surface shop environment.
• Proficiency in operating shop equipment such as table saws, routers, and skill saws.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Dependable with a positive attitude and commitment to success.
• Effective communication skills, with excellent attendance and work principles.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or additional specialized training (master craft designation preferred).
• Experience with plastic laminates and solid surface materials is a plus.
