Job summary

Moses Auto Group in Charleston, WV is seeking an experienced automotive technician and leader with GM dealership experience. You will provide technical leadership to the service team and diagnose complex concerns to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years as a technician/lead, strong diagnostic skills, and GM knowledge. The role emphasizes continuous learning, GM resources, and adherence to safety and repair procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as automotive technician/lead/foreman.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• GM dealership or GM-certified master technician experience preferred.
• Experience communicating with GM TAC.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and technical service information.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to the service technician team.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and diagnostic concerns.
• Assist technicians with difficult or repeat repairs and develop diagnostic strategies.
• Work with GM TAC and GM resources to resolve vehicle concerns and follow repair procedures.
• Review repair procedures, diagnostics, service bulletins, and resources to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Monitor repair quality and ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and efficiently.
• Ensure technicians follow dealership safety policies, manufacturer procedures, and proper shop practices.
• Monitor and maintain required GM and dealership training requirements for the technician team.
• Identify technician training and development needs and communicate those needs to service management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:

• 5+ years previous experience as an automotive technician, lead technician, or shop foreman.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• GM dealership or GM-certified master technician experience preferred.
• Experience communicating with GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and technical service information.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
