Job summary

Motion is seeking a Production Manager in Oregon to lead production operations, drive lean initiatives, and ensure quality and on-time delivery. The role collaborates with Technical Services, Materials Management, Sales, and operations teams to optimize processes and asset utilization.

Responsibilities include workforce planning, safety, budgeting input, scheduling, and implementing improvements to maximize fabrication throughput while maintaining standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 10+ years related experience.
• Experience leading production operations and lean initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to production operations to build a high performing culture.
• Implement lean initiatives and quality processes for measurable improvement.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.
• Plan and execute facilities planning to maximize revenue per square foot.
• Ensure standards for quality, equipment, and operator performance; approve equipment purchases.
• Drive innovation to maximize throughput and asset utilization.
• Create and communicate production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage workforce planning, screening, selection, and terminations.
• Ensure adherence to certification programs and OSHA guidelines.
• Support annual budgeting and inventory accuracy.
