Job summary

DRT Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to support precision machining operations on the shop floor. You will develop CNC programs, optimize processes, and work directly with machinists to improve quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (or equivalent), 5+ years of manufacturing/ CNC programming experience, and strong Mastercam and GD&T skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering, CNC Programming, or Process Engineering experience
• Strong Mastercam programming experience
• Experience supporting CNC mills, lathes, VTLs, or multi-axis machining centers
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs and support program optimization using Mastercam
• Determine manufacturing methods, routing sequences, tooling, fixturing, and inspection requirements
• Support first article prove-outs and production launches
• Create setup sheets, operation sheets, and manufacturing documentation
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues on the shop floor
• Develop manufacturing estimates and job quotes for precision-machined components
• Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction
• Partner closely with machinists, supervisors, quality personnel, and production teams
