Kovach is seeking a Shop Fabricator in Chandler, Arizona to support custom metal fabrication for commercial construction projects. The role requires on-site work, precise measurement, and independent as well as collaborative work in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are safety-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to obtain forklift certification if needed. The team embraces ownership through ESOP and values reliability and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• On-site Presence: Arrive at the job site promptly at the required start time as indicated by the Supervisor.
• Quality Assurance: Regularly review the work to ensure Kovach's high-quality standards, read tape measures to 1/16” increments, fit materials square when needed.
• Safety and Communication: Adhere to Kovach's safety protocols and site requirements; report safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Injury Reporting: Report on-site injuries promptly to the Supervisor.
• Problem Identification: Proactively identify and report potential problems to the Supervisor.
• Team Collaboration: Support fellow employees' well-being and foster a team-focused environment.
• Continuous Learning: Show initiative and seek to grow in Kovach scope of work.
• Certification: Obtain forklift certification if required.

As a Shop Fabricator at Kovach, you will play a crucial role in our custom metal fabrication and assembly processes for various commercial construction projects. This position, based in Chandler, Arizona, involves cutting, shearing, bending, drilling, punching, grinding, cleaning, assembly, glazing, and crating. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• On-site Presence: Arrive at the job site promptly at the required start time as indicated by the Supervisor.


• Quality Assurance: Regularly review the work completed to ensure it meets Kovach's high-quality standards. Demonstrate precision and attention to detail, reading tape measures to 1/16” increments. Fit materials accurately and square when necessary.


• Safety and Communication: Strictly adhere to Kovach's safety protocols and job site-specific requirements. Immediately communicate any safety concerns or limitations to the Supervisor.


• Injury Reporting: In the event of an injury on-site, report it without delay to the Supervisor.


• Problem Identification: Proactively identify and report potential problems or challenges to the Supervisor.


• Team Collaboration: Ensure the well-being of fellow employees on-site, promoting a team-centric environment.


• Continuous Learning: Demonstrate initiative in the tasks performed and continually seek to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Kovach scope of work.


• Certification: Obtain forklift certification if required.
