Job summary

MGX Equipment Services, LLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is looking for a Crane Mechanic/Technician with at least two years of experience and a high school diploma or GED. You will work on Grove and Manitowoc cranes, read schematics, and participate in safety training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of crane mechanic/technician experience.
• Experience with Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.
• Must read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• AWS D1.1 welding certification, or ability to obtain within 3–6 months after hire preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Must purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

Job description

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
• Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.
• Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding experience with AWS D1.1 certification, or ability to obtain certification within 3-6 months after hire preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Required to purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

PAY & TRAINING:

This position offers a pay range between $23.00 - $50.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.

A customized training plan and career path is identified for each technician and provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth and advancement opportunities.
