A reputable equipment services provider in Nashville, TN is seeking MGX Field Crane Technicians to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain various crane equipment. Candidates should have at least two years of experience and a high school diploma. Job description

Overview

MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located at the Nashville, TN branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Service Manager.



  • Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year


Responsibilities


  • Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.

  • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.

  • Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.

  • Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician required.

  • Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.

  • Must be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required.

  • Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay & Training

This position offers a pay range between $25.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.


A customized training plan and career path is identified for each technician and provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth and advancement opportunities.
