Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Shop Clean-Up Person - Fabrication & Machining to keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. You will sweep floors, collect debris, sort scrap, and ensure tools and equipment are returned to proper places while following safety rules.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant work history, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license; forklift experience is a plus. Work may occur indoors or outdoors and may include extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work history.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic understanding of housekeeping practices in a shop, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial work environment preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete routine tasks with minimal supervision.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep the shop floor both manually and with a mechanized floor sweeper.
• Gather trash and debris for disposal or reallocation.
• Separate scrap, trash, and reusable materials as directed.
• Empty trash and scrap dumpsters into the appropriate collection bin.
• Wipe equipment free of dust and grease.
• Return tools, hoses, cords, brooms, and other items to storage after use.
• Keep walkways and work areas clear of obstructions.
• Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions or hazards observed.
