Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our client’s team. The role involves pulling and preparing raw materials for orders, assisting machine operators and welders, and supporting fabrication processes. Training is available for candidates with mechanical aptitude.

The position is a first shift, with a possible weekend shift; wages depend on experience and range from $18 to $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years’ work history in an industrial/shop environment.
• Previous fabrication shop experience a huge plus.
• Ability to multi-task and take on new duties.
• Experience with hand/power tools.
• Experience with micrometers and calipers a huge plus.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Job description

Trillium Staffing is currently seeking a Shop Assistant to add to our client’s growing team!

The main duties of the Shop Assistant will be to pull and prep raw materials for upcoming orders. Other duties include assisting machine operators and welders with production needs, grinding/deburring, tapping, drilling, and making sure all raw materials are accounted for and tracked accurately. Assisting with operation of lasers, brakes presses, saws and other methods of fabrication may also be involved in this role. The company is willing to train a candidate with a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn!

This is a first shift position working Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm and Friday, 6:00 am - 12:00 pm.There is also a weekend shift available working Friday through Sunday, 11:30 am - 12:00 am, work 36 hours but paid for 40!Wages are based on experience, $18-$24/hr.
