Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) seeks an officer to assist in developing, implementing, recruiting, and reactivating SCDNR Shooting Sports Programs, including SCTS and NASP initiatives. This role supports outreach and program growth across the state.

The incumbent will visit schools and clubs, promote safety and ethics, train instructors, coordinate events and scholarships, and work with the Outreach First Sergeant and coordinators to expand participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years as a DNR Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge and experience in shooting sports and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Scholastic Clay Target Sports (SCTS) program coordination.
• Assist NASP coordinator with archery-related shooting programs.
• Visit schools, clubs, JROTC and other groups to promote programs.
