Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. This management role focuses on selling shoes while leading and developing the sales staff, with opportunities for career growth within a growing company.

The role emphasizes coaching, hiring, training, and delivering excellent customer experiences, with responsibilities that include deposits and store operations, all within a locally owned and community-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to teach others how to sell and to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store and be comfortable working alone at times.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales, handle cash/credit, and apply discounts.
• Help re-stock the sales floor and keep it neat.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the team to deliver the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposits and make bank deposits.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as shipments arrive.
