Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a part-time Shoe Stylist to help customers with expert service, build a loyal client base, and drive sales in our store.

You will learn product details, promotions, and participate in merchandising, while working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer and POS register system.
• Flexible schedule including day, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service in a friendly environment.
• Maintain high standards in customer service.
• Understand product information, promotions, and advertising.
• Demonstrate sales by achieving and maintaining sales productivity.
• Assist store operations: floor moves, merchandising, cleaning, and stocking as needed.

Shoe Stylist (P/T) The Shoe Stylist is responsible for applying selling techniques to merchandise and developing a client base to build sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain outstanding standards in every aspect of customer service.
• Possess an understanding of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising efforts.
• Demonstrate salesmanship skills by consistently achieving and maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside of your specific role.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
