Job summary

Steve Madden in Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Shoe Stylist to apply selling techniques and develop a client base to drive sales. You will greet customers, provide a welcoming, high-service environment, and know current merchandise and promotions.

Responsibilities include assisting with floor moves, merchandising, and displays; maintaining outstanding service standards; and being flexible to cover additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use POS and computer systems.

Shoe Stylist (P/T) The Shoe Stylist is responsible for applying selling techniques to merchandise and developing a client base to build sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain outstanding standards in every aspect of customer service.
• Possess an understanding of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising efforts.
• Demonstrate salesmanship skills by consistently achieving and maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside of your specific role.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
