Job summary

Caleres, Inc. operates Famous Footwear stores and is seeking a Sales Associate who delivers superb customer service and helps create an engaging in-store culture.

You will support pricing, shipments, inventory and store presentation to ensure every customer has an outstanding shopping experience. You will build product knowledge across brands, assist customers with finding the right fit, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Must exercise independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment and inventory) are dialed in and the store runs smoothly.
• Provide stellar customer engagement and drive customer loyalty through the Famous Footwear experience.
• Review store performance and help drive sales with purpose and urgency to meet goals.
• Maintain integrity and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Uphold diversity and inclusivity and support teammates through training and development when needed.
• Act as a shoe expert to help customers find the right fit and styles.
