Famous Footwear Outlet at the Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets in Troutdale, OR seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This role focuses on people leadership, coaching, achieving sales targets, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The position emphasizes training, staffing, and ensuring policy compliance while maintaining brand standards. Retail experience and a passion for shoes are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training associates.
• Ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate with store staff.
• Ability to train, coach and develop associates for strong customer experience.
• Exercises independent judgment partnering with Store Sales Manager.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates to deliver a culture of caring and customer connection.
• Partner with Store Manager to interview and hire top talent.
• Maintain store operations, pricing, inventory and staffing aligned with company standards.
• Drive sales and use insights to improve location performance.
• Lead by example to foster inclusivity and engagement across the team.
• Act as Store Manager’s right hand, ensuring policy compliance and staff development.
