Job summary

Shock Tech in Riverside, CA is seeking workers for bench and line assembly of shock units. You will place parts, assemble subcomponents, and perform packaging and hardware kitting for multiple shock models.

Training on machine tending and use of hand tools is required in a production environment. Position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working with varied model lines on a busy assembly floor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports; speak before groups.
  • Basic math and measurement skills for weight, volume, and distance.
  • Basic computer skills including use of email.

Responsibilities

  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Sub Assembly Work, Packaging and Hardware Kitting for shocks (IFP, Remote Reservoir, Piggyback, etc.).
  • Tends machines and uses hand tools to perform fastening operations on the assembly line.
  • Works at different work stations and adapts as different model moves along the line.

About this position

Summary


Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce shocks performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other.

  • Sub Assembly Work, Packaging, Hardware Kitting. Building a variation of shocks including: IFP, Remote Reservoir, Piggyback Shock, 2.0 and 2.0 RR, CDC, 2.5 and 3.0 Bypass.

  • Tends machines, such as arbor presses, spring compressor, hose saw, hose crimper, manual lathe, parts washer, vice and various hand tools to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.

  • Works at different work stations as production needs require.

  • Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.


Salary Information

$18 - $22Hourly Wage

Education and/or Experience


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills


Basic Computer Skills including use of email may be required.
