Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated cast and forged components for machinery frames, tanks, and structural parts in a heavy shipyard environment. The role requires reading blueprints, following welding symbols, and performing carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum welds with various processes.

Night shifts may be required. Applicants should have 1–3 years of experience, OSHA awareness, ABS standard knowledge, and the ability to pass

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding experience with carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols, and knowledge of ABS/OSHA standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lay out, fit, and weld components to assemble forms per specifications.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformity to specs; utilize micrometers and calipers.
• Set up equipment and perform arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc welding or gas welding.
• Work with minimal supervision and maintain safety & quality standards.
