Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. in Panama City, FL, is seeking an experienced Flux Core Welder to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated cast and forged components for machinery frames, tanks, and vessels.

You will read blueprints, select welding processes, and work in flat to overhead positions, with safety as a priority. ABS certification tests are required; overtime and night shifts may apply.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalence plus 1–3 years of flux core arc welder experience.
• Experience with gouging, mirror welding, MIG and stick welding; carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum welding.
• Must pass ABS welding tests to be ABS Certified.
• Knowledge of ship terminology, welding symbols, safety, OSHA, and ABS regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated cast/forged components to assemble structural forms per specifications.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformance; measure with micrometer/caliper.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding methods.
• Produce high-quality welds with watertight penetrations on steel, stainless, and aluminum; work with minimal supervision.
