Job summary

ARMADA INC. seeks a Technical Planner Trainee to assist the planning team in developing plans for executing work, identifying material for procurement, and writing technical work instructions for the production team.

Based at shipyard sites and customer facilities, the role includes on-site reviews, documenting work status, obtaining certifications, and advancing through core functions such as material planning, NAVSEA interpretation, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning and Execution- (Core Function).
• Assist with structural inspections at designated locations.
• Identify, document and report deficiencies found onboard naval vessels.
• Work with production team to develop structural plans.
• Learn to review work specifications and technical standards to develop work instructions for trades use.
• Learn to interpret NAVSEA drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Determine Objective Quality Evidence requirements from guidance documents.
• Material Planning.
• Learn to develop job material list from technical references and drawings.
• Learn to determine material and quantities of material required to perform the work.
• Resolve technical specification conflict or suitable substitutes.
• Assist purchasing with finding qualified vendors.
