Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in shipyards, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial settings preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate dependability and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools after training.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders, fitters, electricians, mechanics, and other skilled trades as needed.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas by removing debris and hazards.
• Set up and break down work areas, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Perform basic material preparation, including cleaning and surface prep when assigned.
• Use basic hand and power tools in accordance with safety requirements.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials and equipment.
• Follow instructions, work orders, drawings, and established procedures.
