Qualifications

• Two years of experience in tile work, framing, cabinet building, trim carpentry, or similar craft.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measurements.
• Skill using carpentry, layout, and finishing tools.
• Comfort working in complex shipyard environments.
• Strong commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
• Two years of experience in a shipyard environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install permanent structures aboard ships and other naval units.
• Read blueprints and lay out precise locations for ladders, stanchions, deck sockets, tile, staples, and shipboard components.
• Use a wide range of carpentry and fabrication tools, including hammers, squares, levels, grinders, saws, and pneumatic or motor‑powered tools.
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and layout tools.
• Work in varied shipyard environments and support changing production needs.
• Must be available to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
