Job summary

IMIA, LLC is seeking a Blast Foreman to oversee all blast-related operations for designated projects at shipyards and client facilities. You will lead a crew, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with the Superintendent.

Responsibilities include inspecting blast work, organizing training, directing equipment setup and removal, and submitting timesheets on time. A strong marine industry background and safety credentials are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in the Marine Industry.
  • 1+ years formal or informal job training.
  • C-7 Certificate (Company May Provide).
  • OSHA-10 (Company May Provide).
  • CPR/AED/First Aid (Company May Provide).

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and organizational duties under leadership of Superintendent/Project manager.
  • Attend inspections of blast work.
  • Inspect preparation of blasted areas and have blasters correct any areas that don't meet standards.
  • Organize, supervise, lead and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
  • Direct and assist in setup and removal of blasting equipment.
  • Review and submit timesheets for assigned crew.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
