Job summary

SOUTH BAY SANDBLASTING & TANK CLEANING, INC. in Washington State is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day production and field operations across our shipyard projects.

You will manage manpower planning, scheduling, logistics, and coordination with QA, Safety, Purchasing, and management to ensure safe, efficient execution that meets customer requirements. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in ship repair, marine industrial, or related production.
• Direct experience with Tank Cleaning, Preservation, and Non-Skid operations preferred.
• Experience supervising multiple crews or projects.
• Strong manpower planning, scheduling, and field operations knowledge.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day production and operational activities.
• Oversee Production Superintendents, Foremen, Leads, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain manpower plans based on workload and priorities.
• Coordinate staffing to maximize labor utilization and minimize overtime.
• Review production schedules and ensure crews understand priorities.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and schedule performance.
• Identify delays, shortages, or conflicts before they impact production.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and warehouse on materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular field visits to verify progress and safety.
• Maintain accountability of supervisors and leadership.
