Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years' experience in joiner/carpenter and HVAC work.
• Knowledge of fabrication using sheet metal or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and translate specs into built components.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints to determine dimensions of furnishings.
• Shapes and laminates wood to form ship parts using steam chambers and tools.
• Assembles and installs hardware, floors, furnishings, or insulation.
• Repairs structural woodwork and replaces defective parts and equipment.
• Cuts wood or glass to specified dimensions with hand/power tools.
• Constructs floors, doors, partitions, and trims to meet specs.
