Responsibilities

• Oversees and evaluates all activities of the department's employees, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight.
• Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Inventory management of raw material and finished inventory.
• Allocating material to work orders.
• Monitors freight movement using computer software applications.
• Consults with the production planning team to plan deliveries for the next day.
• Drafts and distributes schedules; uses outside trucks when needed.
• Teaches safe lifting and loading techniques and evaluates employee compliance.
• Assesses efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities; suggests improvements.
• Ensures product handling and delivery meet customer expectations and business objectives.
