Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Warehouse Lead to direct daily warehouse activities in a fast-paced distribution center. You will oversee picking, packing, loading, and transfers while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience including order picking, receiving, and shipping.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations and safe operation of forklifts and equipment; good communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Direct and perform warehousing duties including loading, unloading, stocking, order picking and shipping.
• Verify incoming/outgoing shipments against documents.
• Ensure orders and transfers are filled, packaged, loaded, and delivered on schedule.
• Monitor merchandise placement and stock location accuracy.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Share best practices to maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Assist in training and development of associates, monitor attendance, hours and performance.
• Follow procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
