Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. in Colonial Heights, VA, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler to join our Distribution Team. You will unbox, inspect, assemble, wrap, and prepare furniture for shipment, working in teams to meet quality and safety standards.

The role requires heavy lifting up to 150 lbs, attention to detail, and teamwork. We offer paid training, Daily Pay, a 401K match at 4%, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift, up to 150 lbs.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
• Team player with ability to work in groups of 2–4.
• Must pass Criminal Background check, Lifting Assessment, and Drug Test.
• Previous warehouse experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in teams of 2 to 4 to unbox, inspect, assemble, and wrap customer merchandise for shipment.
• Inspect and handle merchandise such as sofas, sectionals, and tables.
• Demonstrate value as a team member and meet productivity standards.
• Learn safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Prepare products for Home Delivery with quality checks.
