Job summary

Crown Bakeries in Tennessee is seeking a hands-on loader to ensure trucks are loaded and docks are maintained under supervision. You will follow GMPs, keep hands clean, and help produce safe, high-quality products while promoting good morale and timely reporting of issues.

Responsibilities include unloading trailers, recording ingredients, maintaining pallet accuracy, and keeping areas clean. Experience in baking processes and physical work is valued; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of baking processes, equipment and terminology.
• Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to lift heavy materials up to fifty pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Unloads trailers as they arrive.
• Keeps docks clean and clears empty trays and pallets.
• Offloads ingredients or other materials as needed.
• Checks and records ingredients received on the proper form.
• Loads trucks according to load sheets and verifies pallet counts.
• Records product dates on load sheets and matches pallets to sheets.
• Turns in load sheets, BOLs and related forms after shift.
• Disposes of empty boxes and bags appropriately.
• Places products in correct aisles and logs quantities on the push-in sheet.
• Maintains freezer organization and proper rotation (FIFO).
• Notifies engineering/foreperson of equipment issues immediately.
• Monitors product quality, package seals and coding.
• Ensures proper nesting of trays and performs load/pull tasks as required.
• Keeps entire area clean and assists Sanitation duties as needed.
• Performs any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
• Hauls and moves trailers on/off property using trucks and yard dogs.
