Job summary

The Campbell's Company in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Shipping Utility to support distribution through loading/unloading, stacking baskets, and moving finished products safely and efficiently.

You will collaborate with Shipping and Distribution teams, maintain accurate records, and follow GMP/HACCP/JSA safety procedures. The role requires physical stamina and willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely load, unload, and move full stacks of bread and baskets.
• Ability to stack baskets 15 to 17 high.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and powered hand jacks, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to follow GMP, HACCP, JSA, and all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review shift turnover information, including equipment status and operational concerns.
• Operate basket stackers and provide relief coverage for basket stacker operators as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, including interplant shipments utilizing STO Builder.
• Pick depot orders accurately at the offsite distribution center.
• Ensure proper product rotation and inventory movement.
• Stack baskets safely and efficiently up to 15 to 17 baskets high.
• Load and unload full stacks of bread and transport finished products within the shipping area.
• Place completed stacks of product on the shipping floor for distribution.
• Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation, including HACCP and CTS records.
• Operate forklifts, powered hand jacks, carts, dollies, and other equipment used within the department.
• Empty trash and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational needs and concerns.
• Follow GMP, JSA, and all company safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties and provide operational support as assigned by management.

How You Will Make History Here…

As a Shipping Utility, you will be a key contributor to the success of our distribution operations by ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of product throughout the plant and offsite distribution center. Your work will support timely deliveries, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.

What You Will Do…

What You Bring To The Table… (must Have)

• Ability to safely load, unload, and move full stacks of bread and baskets throughout the facility.
• Ability to stack baskets 15 to 17 high.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and powered hand jacks, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to follow GMP, HACCP, JSA, and all safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach above shoulder level, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to work overtime and varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

• Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Forklift and powered industrial truck operating experience.
• Experience using shipping, inventory, or warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with STO Builder or similar shipping software.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food manufacturing environments.
• Experience maintaining production counts and completing operational documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Prior experience supporting high-volume distribution or warehouse operations.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
