Job summary

ABC Supply's ACM division in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Shipping Technician for the second shift to ensure timely and damage-free delivery of metal building materials. You will pick, pack, and load trucks, verify shipments, and maintain a clean, safe dock in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to read labels and perform simple math, and good teamwork. Prior forklift experience is preferred, and cross-training across departments is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and load trucks.
• Use an LPN and DSI to manage movement of inventory and orders.
• Identify, inspect, label, and weigh material for shipment.
• Ensure product and packing meet SOP standards.
• Stage trucks for live load.
• Complete shipping/BOL documentation.
• Cross train and work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse and shipping dock.
• Follow forklift requirements and safety regulations.
• Participate in Safety and Behavior-Based Safety programs.

The associate ensures materials are packaged to arrive to customers undamaged and safely handles the movement, storage, and loading of materials—both on and off racks and into semi-trucks—using appropriate equipment.
