ABC Supply – ACM is seeking a Safety Coordinator / Administrator for our Aberdeen, MD plant. The role emphasizes proactive safety guidance, PPE management, and compliance with hazard communication, OSHA, and environmental standards.

You will support onboarding, incident reporting, audits, and training, while ensuring forklift safety and lockout/tagout programs. This is a first shift, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package and room for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Occupational Safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety data sheets and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety guidance and training to associates monthly.
• Procure and distribute PPE materials.
• Ensure hazard communication standard compliance including Safety Data Sheets.
• Assist onboarding of new associates.
• Review and report accidents and injuries.
• Verify forklift equipment compliance.
• Maintain lockout/tagout and stormwater programs.
• Support safety audits and investigations.
• Perform clerical duties for inspections and training logs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm. This is a first shift position.American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety measures are met and followed at our plant location.
