Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Shipping Technician at the Midlothian Cement Plant in Texas. The role supports loading rail and trucks, feeding and weighing cement products, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and light equipment, verifying shipment paperwork, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The position offers hourly pay and full-time hours with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of basic industrial, mechanical, or shipping experience; 2-4 years preferred.
• General computer proficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE including respirators as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors loads outgoing trucks, loads and unloads rail cars, and unloads incoming raw materials.
• Operates forklift, small loader, rail car mover, sweeper, and other light industrial equipment.
• Verifies accuracy of paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Records information and statistics; makes changes based on data analysis.
• Participates in formal and on-the-job training; cross-training activities.
• Interacts with process-area teams to communicate and solve problems.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a clean, orderly work area.
• Ensures product quality and inspects equipment; assists with maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
