Semo Milling, LLC is seeking a Shipping Technician in Scott City, MO, to support load-out, packaging, and daily operations. You will follow schedules, monitor quality, and maintain a clean work area with safety at the forefront.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work every other weekend. CDL bonuses may apply and pay ranges are stated with full-time benefits offered.

Salary Range: $17.50 To $18.75 Hourly

Excellent opportunity for a Shipping Technician in Scott City, MO! Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for the execution of the plant predetermined load-out and packaging schedule, plant sanitation, material handling and general support of operations.

II. Position Responsibilities and Duties

Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:

Shipping Responsibilities

• Execute the shipping process as directed by the Operations Supervisor / Mill Superintendent
• Ensuring adherence to packaging, load-out and mill production schedules
• Facility Sanitation
• Utilizing good manufacturing processes
• Prime product and hominy load-out
• Monitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilization
• Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
• Responsible for quality of work within area
• Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion

Quality, Safety and Sanitation

• Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
• Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
• Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
• Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
• Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements

Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED

Related Experience: Shipping/bulk loading experience preferred

IV. Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness, and stamina for the length of an entire 12-hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.
