Eaton in Youngsville, NC is hiring a Shipping Lead on 1st shift to coordinate daily shipping operations, lead a team of shipping associates, and ensure on‑time deliveries. The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on leadership in a fast‑paced setting, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. 6:30am–3:00pm shift with opportunities for overtime and development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Coordinate work assignments and staffing to meet productivity and service goals.
• Provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and training to shipping associates.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet changing business demands.
• Ensure compliance with Eaton safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular safety observations and promote a culture of safe work practices.
• Partner with supervisors and other department leaders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and system transactions.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, and customer service concerns.
• Track KPIs such as productivity, quality, on‑time shipping, and safety metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other methodologies.
• Participate in employee performance discussions and recognition activities.
