Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee outbound operations at the Hanover Park facility, coordinating with production, materials planning, and customer service to ensure accurate, on-time shipments. You will manage staff, ensure safety, and improve processes while aligning with regulatory requirements.

The role covers packing, staging, loading, carrier scheduling, and documentation, with a focus on lean practices and KPI improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing logistics or shipping, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping activities including order staging, packing, loading, and carrier scheduling.
• Ensure shipments meet quality, quantity, and delivery schedule requirements.
• Lead, train, and develop shipping staff; conduct performance reviews and support engagement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA/DOT compliance and support audits, safety practices, and inventory checks.
• Implement lean practices to optimize workflow; track KPIs like on-time delivery and accuracy; drive packaging and dock improvements.
