About the Role
As a Supervisor, Warehouse at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including shipping logistics, inventory control, and material handling. This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and uphold safety standards. You’ll contribute directly to operational excellence and customer satisfaction through reliable warehouse management and on-time delivery.
You will collaborate with warehouse personnel, production teams, quality control, and logistics stakeholders, ensuring that materials and finished products move seamlessly through the plant. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rochelle, IL.

What You’ll Do
• Supervises, trains, and coaches warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production and delivery goals.
• Coordinates loading, unloading, and dispatch of shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Monitors and maintains accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensures proper storage, staging, and internal movement of materials and finished goods.
• Enforces OSHA and company safety policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Implements process improvements to boost warehouse efficiency and reduce operational errors.
• Maintains accurate shipment, inventory, and activity records using ERP or warehouse systems.
• Collaborates with production, quality control, and logistics to support seamless operations.
• Oversees maintenance and use of material-handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
Who You Are
• 3+ years of warehouse and shipping experience in manufacturing or heavy industry (steel or pipe/tube industry a plus)
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and ERP/WMS software
• Understanding of OSHA regulations, forklift operations, and warehouse safety practices
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating warehouse equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills under pressure
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate across internal and external teams

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
Base Salary Range: [$71,000—$98,000 USD]
Additional compensation may include:
