Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of general aviation engines and airframes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, train, develop, direct, counsel, and discipline bargaining unit personnel.
• Develop and improve operations for receiving, shipping, inventory control, and facilities.
• Supervise bargaining personnel for efficient manpower and assist with planning.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support Lycoming Premier initiatives.
• Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement and collaborate with union leaders on shop issues.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Influence work culture and drive change in the organization.

Lycoming Engines seeks a Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of employees in our warehouse operations.This person will be a leader and change agent capable of driving relentless improvement, motivating team members and holding them accountable for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, developing, directing, counseling and disciplining bargaining unit personnel in a fair and consistent manner
• Develop and improve operations towards best in class standards including but not limited to receiving, shipping, inventory control, talent, processes and facilities
• Supervise bargained personnel to insure efficient manpower utilization and assist with planning
• Proactively participate in cross-functional efforts and teams to support Lycoming Premier initiatives
• Administer the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and collaborate with union leaders in the resolution of shop issues
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
