Job summary

ARCH Global Precision is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to coordinate weekly delivery schedules and verify records for shipments in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. This role requires collaboration with Buyers/Planners and Team Leads to ensure accurate, timely shipments and compliant packaging.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience, forklift certification, and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience shipping and receiving preferred.
• Certified on sit-down forklift preferred.
• Computer proficiency with basic understanding of MS Office.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to timely customer shipments.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to seek guidance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the weekly rolling delivery schedule with collaboration from Buyer/Planner and Team Leads.
• Determines method of shipment to Customers and Vendors.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against records.
• Prepares and affixes shipping labels and assembles boxes and packaging per procedures.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, affixes postage, and records related data.
• Receives customer-supplied material and logs into the system; inspects for damages.
• Ensures outgoing shipments meet specifications and maintains shipping materials inventory.

Position Overview

The Shipping Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating the weekly rolling delivery schedule and for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a cross-functional team with in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares the weekly rolling delivery schedule with collaboration from Buyer/Planner and Team Leads
• Determines method of shipment to Customers and Vendors
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepares and affixes shipping labels
• Assembles boxes and packages product according to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Receives in customer supplied material, by counting, finding paperwork and logging into system.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure smooth workflow and part quality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
