Job summary

ARCH Global Precision is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to coordinate the weekly delivery schedule and verify documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments. This role requires accuracy, teamwork in a clean manufacturing environment, and a proactive approach to logistics and packaging.

The position supports cross-functional teams and emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time customer shipments. Monday–Friday schedule and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years shipping/receiving preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Basic MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the weekly rolling delivery schedule with collaboration from Buyer/Planner and Team Leads.
• Determines method of shipment to customers and vendors.
• Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepares and affixes shipping labels.
• Packages product according to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records shortages, and coordinates with shippers to rectify issues.
• Receives customer-supplied material and logs into the system.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates a sit-down forklift or hand truck for movement of shipments.
• Collaborates with team leads to ensure smooth workflow and part quality.
• Follows safety protocols and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Complies with company safety guidelines and housekeeping standards.

Position Overview

The Shipping Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating the weekly rolling delivery schedule and for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a cross-functional team with in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares the weekly rolling delivery schedule with collaboration from Buyer/Planner and Team Leads
• Determines method of shipment to Customers and Vendors
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepares and affixes shipping labels
• Assembles boxes and packages product according to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Receives in customer supplied material, by counting, finding paperwork and logging into system.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure smooth workflow and part quality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience shipping and receiving preferred
• Certified on sit-down forklift preferred
• Computer proficiency with basic understanding of MS Office.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to ensure customer receives shipments in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and seek guidance when needed.
