With production facilities throughout North America, The Growscape is a leading Manufacturer of horticulture growing containers, our mission, “From Grower to Gardner, Improving Our World”.Job PurposeThe Shipping Supervisor – oversees the coordination, movement, and shipment of finished goods from production to the distribution center (DC). This role bridges production operations and distribution logistics, ensuring timely and accurate transfer of completed products while maintaining inventory integrity, safety standards, and operational efficiency. The Supervisor manages assigned staff, coordinates with production and distribution teams, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the manufacturing process as it relates to equipment start-up and operationsFinished Goods Coordination & MovementCoordinate the transfer of finished goods from production lines to staging and storage areasPlan and execute shipments of completed products to the distribution center based on production schedules and DC receiving requirementsSupervise minor inventory discrepancies and ensure root cause corrections and participate in performance of these processes; Monitor, maintain and improve key performance indicators dailyLead training effort of new employees as it relates to production, operation, forklift, and other business needs while communicating employee expectations.Accurately track and enter production data into the Work Order system and verify shift production matches the induction report for Injection.Accurately complete all administrative paperworkAchieve business goals in areas like safety, quality, delivery, and costLead toolbox meetings dailySupport all company policies and proceduresExecute coaching and corrective disciplineEnsure compliance of direct reports to all policies and procedures of The Growscape.Lead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with The Growscape valuesPerform other administrative tasks and special projects as assignedMust be focused on employee safetyBack-up - Track and approve employee’s timecardsParticipate in Continuous Improvement projects and teamsPlan and schedule shipments of finished goods to customers or warehousesCoordinate the receiving of bulk materials and corrugated materialsQualifications and ExperienceMust possess process troubleshooting skills to respond to and drive performance/people developmentMust have a good working knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environmentMust be a hands-on leader with strong writing and verbal communication skills and possess good communication/interpersonal skills and get along well with othersMust be able to read production schedule complianceAbility to be shift flexibleMust adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work cultureAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate the ability to critical think and problem solve with relation to production challengesAbility to work in a team-oriented work environment8-hour shiftNot required but a plus-Experience in warehouse and shipping including posting of BOL, setting up LTL and FedEx shipments.In addition to competitive wages, The Growscape associates are eligible for certain benefits after 30-days of employment including medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
