We are looking for a Shipping Supervisor in Louisville, KY. This is a full-time, long-term employment opportunity with a great company!

Pay range: $26-$28/hour

Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday

7:30am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday) and 7am-4pm on Fridays

Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor manages daily operations and personnel of the Shipping Department to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. This is a working supervisor role, including loading trucks and operating forklifts.

Essential Functions

• Plan and execute shipping schedules for on-time delivery, collaborating with Production, Marketing, and Receiving.
• Communicate with freight companies regarding load times and locations.
• Monitor customer orders for legal weight limits and advise on additional space.
• Track shipments using JustFood software.
• Stage, inspect, load, and secure shipments onto trailers.
• Assign work, monitor staff compliance, and develop team members.
• Transport products within the facility using forklifts or trucks and store finished goods.
• Check inventory for outdated products.
• Report equipment issues and complete shipping paperwork.
• Assist the Receiving Department as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven shipping leadership experience (3+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in basic computer software.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain laws and regulations.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work overtime as needed.
• Background check required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to stand, lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 60 pounds frequently, with good vision and motor skills.

Work Environment

Work is in a manufacturing warehouse setting, often in moderate to loud environments with fumes or airborne particles.
