Demco Mfg in Boyden, IA is seeking a detail-oriented shipping technician to accurately assemble, package, and ship quality products according to prints and shop orders. You will follow established procedures while protecting product integrity and quality.

You will read orders, operate a hoist or crane, and support customer service when needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, training others, and meeting shipping deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Find, print and understand shop orders, customer orders and engineers drawings.
• Operate hoist or crane using correct procedures.
• Provide customer service as needed.
• Retrieve orders, collect products and package orders.
• Complete customer orders to ship by the shipping date.
• Mentor and train other employees.
• Locate on-hand quantities to complete products.
• Read and use measuring tools accurately.
• Complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis.
• Load and secure products on trucks as needed.
• Work as a team and be self-motivated to work independently.
• Actively look for better ways to do things.
• Meet reasonable production goals.
