Job summary

Permobil in Lebanon, TN is seeking a Shipping Specialist for the 2nd shift to process, package and ship products efficiently. You will coordinate with Customer Service and carriers to meet deadlines and service levels, handling international documentation as needed.

The role requires multitasking, basic Excel/Outlook skills, and familiarity with warehouse procedures; 6 months shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Common working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures preferred.
• 6+ months of shipping/receiving experience preferred; powered industrial truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, package and prepare product to ship.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and carriers to ensure shipments depart on time and meet service levels.
• Build relationships with carriers to ensure timely pickups and loading/wait times; troubleshoot OS&D claims or returns.
• Prepare documentation for international shipments and create bookings promptly.
• Track and report inventory levels; order supplies as needed.
• Provide tracking information to customer service and ensure proper loading of shipments.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Schedule: Full-time | Tuesday–Friday, 4:00pm–2:30am

Your Role in Our Mission

• Process, package and prepare product to ship.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and carriers to ensure shipments leave on time to meet the customers’ needs and stay within service level.
• Build relationships with carriers to ensure timely pickups and loading/wait times as well as trouble shoot any Over, Short and Damaged (OS&D) claims or return issues.
• Prepare proper documentation for international shipments (i.e. commercial invoices, shipper’s letter of intent, and other declarations) and create bookings in a timely manner.
• Keep track and report inventory levels as well as ordering supplies as needed.
• Provide tracking and other information to customer service.
• Prepare shipment of orders with quality packaging and loading.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $20.00 – $22.00 per hour + $1.00 shift differential. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
