Staffmark Group is hiring a Shipping Associate in Putnam, CT for the first shift, with start times of 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. This role supports receiving shipments, preparing outbound orders, and maintaining an organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role.
• Experience using hand-held inventory scanners preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wrap roll goods using kraft paper according to shipping standards.
• Package wrapped materials to ensure safe and accurate shipment.
• Lift and move rolls of laminated materials up to 70 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Use a rotating jib crane with electric chain hoist for heavier materials when needed.
• Operate inventory hand-held scanners to track and manage shipments.
