The position requires 1 year of shipping/receiving experience, 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Forklift certification is preferred.

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
• Background check and drug test required.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Shipping Supervisor in timely and accurate shipment of finished products to customers.
• Fulfill orders by selecting products and packaging for shipment per procedures.
• Represent the company professionally to vendors, carriers, and customers at the dock.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and other departments to maintain inventory and shipment accuracy.
• Route incoming materials to appropriate departments.
• Process receipts for incoming materials.
• Review all shipment documents for accuracy.
• Load and unload large trucks and verify paperwork and products.
• Interact with customers with courtesy and professionalism during loading.
• Report defects or shortages of incoming materials to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Fill in during absences; perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $19 - $19 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Shipping Specialist:

• Assist the Shipping Supervisor in the timely and accurate shipment of finished products to customers
• Fulfill orders by selecting the correct products and packaging them for safe shipment while following established protocols and procedures
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, as you will represent the company to vendors, third-party carriers, and customers picking up directly from the dock
• Work with Customer Service and other departments to maintain inventory, organize staging areas, and ensure the accuracy of shipment details
• Route incoming materials to the appropriate departments
• Process receipts for incoming materials
• Process and review all shipment-related documents to ensure accuracy
• Load and unload large trucks, verifying the accuracy of paperwork, products, and orders
• Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers during product loading
• Report any defects or shortages of incoming materials to the department supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment. Follow all prescribed safety regulations and procedures
• Fill in as needed during the absence of other team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, are required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Basic computer skills and experience with data entry
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility, including confined spaces
• Background check and drug test required
