Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation seeks a Shipping Specialist to ensure accurate and timely product movement through shipping and receiving workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping records, verifying packaging and labeling, completing ERP transactions, and assisting with inventory and fulfillment activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized shipping/warehousing training is a plus.
• Up to 3 months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and data entry.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a collaborative environment.
• Basic math skills including unit conversions and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.

• Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Support packaging, labeling, and fulfillment activities as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts and continuous improvement initiatives.

How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Shipping Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, helping ensure products move accurately and efficiently through our shipping and receiving processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery while contributing to solutions that advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

In This Role, You Will

• Prepare accurate shipping documents, product labels, and related records to support timely customer shipments.
• Verify finished goods, packaging, and labeling requirements before shipment to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions accurately within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Manage finished goods inventory and overstock materials to maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
• Receive incoming deliveries, inspect documentation, and process receipts in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, quality requirements, and safety standards in all daily activities.
• Support packaging, labeling, bagging, and other fulfillment activities as business needs require.
• Assist with inventory counts, sample requests, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional specialized training in shipping, warehousing, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
• Up to three months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process documentation and data entries.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to convert units of measure and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to safely lift materials and perform physical tasks within the requirements of the role.

Preferred Qualifications That Drive You Forward

• Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience within a medical device manufacturing organization.
• Experience using QAD or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and shipping carrier portals.
