Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on shipping, logistics, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use shipping software, carrier systems, and customer routing portals.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipping and order accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, verify, package, label, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment while maintaining a high level of order accuracy
  • Process parcel and freight shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, and other transportation providers
  • Prepare Bills of Lading, customs documents, shipping records, and other required transportation paperwork
  • Coordinate carrier pickups, routing requirements, delivery schedules, and other daily shipping activities
  • Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment to safely move, stage, load, and organize outgoing products
  • Use shipping platforms, carrier systems, and customer routing portals to schedule deliveries, submit shipment notifications, and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Support freight‑quote requests, return authorizations, returned shipments, and other shipping‑related needs
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shipping area while supporting inventory accuracy and continuous improvement efforts

Job Title: Shipping Specialist

Location: Baraboo, WI

Shift: M-TH 6a-4p

Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation:

  • The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $22.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

About The Role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Shipping Specialist for an established manufacturing organization in the Baraboo, Wisconsin area. This hands‑on position is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, coordinating freight activity, maintaining accurate shipping documentation, and helping ensure products are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

This position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, detail‑oriented, comfortable working with multiple shipping and computer systems, and able to balance independent responsibilities with collaboration across operations, customer service, and carrier partners.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
  • Ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary
