Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to handle receiving, inspection, and put-away of materials at the Denton site. You will verify quantities against POs, document discrepancies, and ensure accurate stock entries. Forklift operation may be required as part of daily tasks.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, two years of warehouse experience, and basic computer skills. A customer-service mindset is essential in this position.

Responsibilities

Job description

Summary:

Receives and unpacks materials and supplies, loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive all delivery trucks
• Inspect all incoming material for damages and ensure material meets PO specifications
• Unload delivery trucks and provide a receiving signature
• Unpack ALL material to verify quantities, rather than relying solely on the quantity listed on the outside of the box
• Account for all incoming material and equipment by verifying that the amounts delivered match the receiving copy of the PO, packing slip, and/or other delivery documentation including RMA’s and Outsource MOs
• In the event of a potential problem, promptly notify the appropriate department to resolve the problem and or receive and transfer to the RTV site creating an RTV Entry or QAHOLD site for the QA Manager’s involvement.
• Properly mark all materials with SATS number and, if applicable, job number
• Enter the packing slip with the PO number (verification of vendor number, quantities, etc.) in the system generating a receipt number
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to bin locations or to other designated areas; “put-aways” and office deliveries. Locate and stock received material by rotating the inventory by receipt date
• Forward all questionable inventory discrepancies to the Procurement team and or Warehouse Foreman
• Run the daily receipt report for all physical counts of receiving work and verifies with packing slips
• Must be able to operate a forklift and/or electrically powered devices needed for moving material and maintain certification
• Maintain a clean work area
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures for the Warehouse area and perform a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. A customer-service-oriented attitude is required.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two years of receiving/ warehouse experience
• Moderate computer knowledge
• Knowledge of mechanical parts nomenclature

• Ability to read and understand English instructions

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math skills required
• Conversion of a unit of measure
