Job summary

AMPI is seeking a Wisconsin-based manufacturing associate to support dairy production with emphasis on food safety, quality, and GMP compliance.

The role includes loading/unloading trucks, maintaining shipping/receiving records, verifying shipped products, and promptly communicating production issues to management. Teamwork and a clean work environment are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Dairy/cheese manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, OSHA and loss control desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records.
  • Verify correct products are shipped out.
  • Maintain communication with office staff and truckers.
  • Keep work area clean and safe.
  • Report production deficiencies to management.
  • Communicate critical information during shift changes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
  • This position has a heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records.
  • Verify correct products are shipped out.
  • Maintain excellent communication with office employees and truckers.
  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean.
  • Document and communicate production deficiencies to management.
  • Report and communicate critical information during shift change overs.
  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and effectively communicate to others.
  • Inventory Control and consolidation.
  • Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and AMPI Safety Polices & Procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
  • Food manufacturing experience in the dairy or cheese industry, preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP’s, OSHA and loss control programs is highly desirable.
