Job description

We are currently recruiting a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Specialist to assist with loading, unloading, and packaging for a manufacturing company in Glendale. Duties will include: Open, examine, and verify contents received with purchase orders & packing slips; Pack, verify accuracy, seal, label, and affix postage on all packages being shipped; Package and ship products according to proper handling techniques requirements; Work overflow support and additional tasks as needed by management.

Qualifications for the Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse Specialist:

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities; must be able to manage multiple tasks, and responsibilities at once
• Professional – Punctual, reliable, honest, trustworthy and ready to work every day
• Able to utilize computer programs to track multiple shipments such as Federal Express, UPS, and Airborne International
• Ability to operate hand truck and pallet jack

Minimum Qualification Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse Specialist:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year warehouse shipping clerk experience

• Moderate physical activity
• Requires handling of average weight objects and packages up to 50 pounds
• May occasionally be required to climb, bend, stoop or kneel
